The Magic Attic Club Doll Hospital was the repair service for Magic Attic Club dolls for customers to send in damaged dolls in need of repair. Similar to other doll companies such as American Girl, it billed itself as a "hospital" where dolls were sent in to be treated for issues.
Overview[]
The doll hospital opened the same year as the soft launch in 1994 under Georgetown Collection. The cost of repair for a doll was $10 for any repair, plus $5 shipping. The next year, in 1995 after the full launch, the cost went up to $15. Starting in 1998 (as part of Knickerbocker Company), dolls returned from the hospital with a themed set and certificate. In 1999, repair fees went up to $20, where they remained until the line was terminated.
In late 2007--three years after the line became discontinued--the last owner, Charisma Brands, announced they would no longer take in dolls for repair; this was the last available service for anything regarding Magic Attic Club dolls.
Doll Hospital Set[]
Dolls returned in a hospital set, keeping with the themes of a hospital stay. Only one set was released during the length of the line, from 1998 to 2007. The gown and panties came with the Magic Attic Club logo and Doll Hospital with accenting purple stars.
